5/3
is our day…today I choose to celebrate 5 phenominal women in my life those that are of both direct and indirect influence
MOM-(LUCY MBITHE)
She had to be first in this list.
Do you know of someone who’d literally
die for you? Well 18years ago I met one selfless woman. Who’s taught patience, love, kindness, lady hood (does such a word exist? ) and most importantly what family means.
There’s no word that can describe how lovely and strong you are. Given up a lot to make my dad, me brother and sister happy without complaining.
Mum this international women’s day wouldn’t pass without saying something about you to the whole world.
If I have a chance to choose who’s my mother in my next life it will definitely be you
p.s It’s not yet mothers day
p.s.s I love you
2) Lucy Nduva
I have this awesome aunt who’s amazing. A second mother to me who on every opportunity she’s always in Nairobi to say “hello”
Always there for me. Perfect sense of humour that we share.
She’s taught me a lot. Back in class one I couldn’t tell the difference between ‘nest’ & ‘next’ she did teach me that of course after some slippers canning but am grateful.
I would never be the same without you in my life dear aunty.
Happy international women’s day:)
Sheryl Sandberg
One wish- meet you in person. You are such a life saver.
What would I do if I was not afraid? You opened my eyes through your book ‘lean in’.
2015 couldn’t get any better
I reread your book whenever I get a chance. It has been the truth… and only the truth. Still in school and I’d want gender equality and justice when I get to the work place but you made me realise it starts long before that. I will voice out when I have to.
Thank you.
Terryane chebet
(still looking for the correct words to describe her)
Talk of established and still moving. When I grow up I really want to be like her. Running a beauty line, media personality ,CEO, happy mother and much more than I can write…
She may never get to see or read this but I will forever remain indebted to her motivation and inspiration to keep moving…that it’s possible to get there..
I highly admire you miss Terry (lady maverick) you’ve taught me a lot (branding myself) and you continue to enlighten me each day.
Thank you
you are worth a celebration this women’s day
